The Cantata Singers of Ottawa presents another candlelit concert this season, featuring music from renaissance Venice. The centrepiece of the evening is the massive Vespers by Claudio Monteverdi. The featured soprano soloist for the evening is Ottawa's own Bronwyn Thies-Thompson and the choir is joined also by the excellent Ottawa Baroque Consort and a brace of sackbuts. I even have the pleasure of singing some solo passages together with these sackbuts.
Advance tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for students. You can get them directly from me or from the usual local musical shops.
